Say hello to the Hennessey Venom GT – the biggest, baddest monster car to come around in quite awhile. The manufacturer of the Venom GT stuffed an enormous V8 engine into the middle of a Lotus Elise chassis creating what they call “a weapon of mass propulsion.”
The Venom GT will have a production weight of less than 2,400 pounds – that’s about how much a teensy Mazda Miata weighs. Pair this lightness with a 725 horsepower engine and you’ve got one bad ass vehicle.
If you are feeling especially suicidal you can upgrade to the 1,200 horsepower twin turbo V8 model. Yikes.
How much does engineering like this cost? The Hennessy Venom GT falls into the “if you have to ask you can’t afford it” category. And just to make sure the car maintains its exclusivity, only 10 vehicles per year will be manufactured.
