The best ways to relieve lower back pain

When you have a persistent back ache you will have a quick mood change from nice to grumpy. Do you have any idea how you got that back ache? Perhaps you lifted something and did not lift it using the proper leverage; are you sleeping on an uncomfortable mattress; maybe you injured your back while playing sports; you may have been standing on your feet for a long time; or, you may be using an uncomfortable office chair on your job? If you back pain persists but it is not serous enough to head for the doctor’s office than you can get rid of that back pain with home remedies.


In order to get back pain relief, you can use back pain products that can be bought over the counter such a ointments, you can exercise, sit in comfortable chairs, eat a good nutritious diet, and use herbs. We do offer a word of caution in the use of herbs. If you are not well versed in the use of herbs then you should not use them and especially if you are taking prescription medication. for your pain.  The use of any herbs should be discussed with your medical professional as your medical professional is familiar with what medications you are taking and whether the herbs would be compatible.


Although there are many exercises that you can do to alleviate your back pain, here are two that will get you started.

·Lie on the floor and place a neck roll or a rolled towel under your neck. Place your legs on the couch or a chair. You should look as if you are sitting but in a lying position. This should alleviate your back pain.


·Lie on the floor and bring your knees up to your chest and with your hands around your legs move from side-to-side for a minute or two and then rest. Move again for a minute or two and rest. Continue to do this for about fifteen minutes.


Therapy is another way of alleviating your lower back pain. To help you get rid of that awful back pain we recommend: swimming if you have access to a pool; taking slow deep breaths, when the pain starts, drink two large glasses of water; and get a lot of good comfortable rest on a firm mattress. Use an ergonomic back chairs if you are sitting at the computer for long periods of time and it will help to keep that back ache in line.


Certain herbs are also recommended for back pain relief such as: Burdock, Slippery Elm, Devils Claw and White Willow Bark. These herbs have properties that are recommended for pain management, to relieve inflammation and to relieve pain. You should heed our earlier word of caution and talk to your medical professional before using any herbs and especially if you are using prescription medication. Again, this is something that should be discussed with your medical professional.
