The toaster is part of the Dutch designer Ivo Vos’s “Brunch” collection of interesting and not particularly practical kitchen equipment. Vos’ Brunch project has something to do with indicting the Western obsession with perfection, order, and the ridiculous anxiety around domestication. Whatever - we just think it’s cool.
