swollen gland?

HI,
for the last few days I have had a dull ache in my right thigh, not a muscle ache, but a more "inside ache" if that makes sense....
Then yesterday I noticed I had a swelling, or a lump just to the right of my pelvic area, sort of lower abdomen.
I think this is the cause of the pain in my thigh, as when i feel th lump, it sort of affects the ache in my thigh.
I am not sure if this is a swollen gland, or something more serious.
I am currently living in Northern Mozambique, so seeing a "reliable" doctor is not exactly easy. I have also had malaria several times, and not sure if this has anything to do with it.
It is quite uncomfortable now, and I would just like to have someones opinionon the matter...
