Sore throat (or pharyngitis) is typically caused by assorted viruses. Rarely is a sore throat due to strep, which responds to antibiotics unlike viruses. Other causes of sore throat include fungal infections (usually only in immunocompromised), heart burn w/reflux, and/or post-nasal drip & congestion leading to mouth-breathing. I'm not a dentist but I've never heard of cavities & broken teeth, not even dental abscesses causing sore throats in isolation from any other symptoms, aside from feeling weak & tired. Of course, any infection will tend to make someone feel weak & tired. But I don't think your wisdom tooth is the culprit. Good luck with the extraction!
