It’s hard enough to experience a heart attack. You suddenly find yourself in a hospital room wondering what went wrong. Should I have exercised more? Should I have cut back on the french fries? Even at home, during recovery, you wonder if you’ll ever be able to resume a normal lifestyle
Many couples worry about sex following a heart attack. Can we resume a normal sex life?
HealthDay.com has a revealing article on the subject. A new study shows that heart attack victims have a better chance of resuming a healthy sex life IF they get reassurance from their doctors. Nearly 1,900 heart attack survivors took part in a study by University Of Chicago Medicine researchers.
The findings show a surprising few doctors had this intimate discussion with their patients.
The study was published in the May 10 American Journal of Cardiology.
