Pistachios are the new nut in the Salmonella outbreak recall. Not as widespread as the peanut butter recall of earlier but still a serious concern. The California pistachio growers and Western Pistachio Association have created a web site for consumers to find out and identify which products are not effected by the pistachio recall.

Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc was found to have the Salmonella in their plant in central California and has issued a recall of products that contain their nuts. Kraft Foods is one of Setton’s largest buyers of their pistachios, which creates a wide range of food products currently on recall. Pistachiorecall.org shows you what products are NOT currently on recall.
If you think you may have products in your home that have pistachios in them that may be on recall, check Pistachiorecall.org or the FDA website.
