Painful swelling around my anus

Posted by tyler

I have a painful fleshy swelling just outside the entrance to my anal passage. It cause a little discomfort when sitting however is quite painful to touch. There does not seem to be any discoloration however. I also have a swollen lymph node in my groin. What has caused this and what can I do to help get rid of it ?

I am currently experiencing what you mention. Started as what I thought was a pimple forming in my perianal area and it just kept growing and becoming more painful. Then the next day I developed the swollen lymph node in my groin on the same side. My guess is a peri anal abcess, and the swollen lymph node is a response to the infection. As a general rule, when your lymph nodes swell and become painful quickly it generally is indicative of an infection/abcess. I am going to MD to make sure of course. Let me know how it turns out.
