New hernia or and aggravated surgury site?

Posted by aggminer

8 years ago was diagnosed and had and inguinal hernia repaired (mesh). periodically but infrequently I would experience pain at the incision site similar to hair being pulled sharply. Lately the pain has become very frequent and associated with aching in the groin similar to that which resulted from overexertion immediately after surgery. I have regained my weight and am back to  6'0, 265# after losing weight after surgury (225#) Recentlky my work has required a lot of heavy lifting but no single incident or position brings on the sharp stinging or stabbing pain. Recent head cold and coughing has made this an issue of great concern because the pain is brought on by coughing. Again there are 2 distinct types of pain here. The long term hernia type aching and the sharp sting hair pulling sensation which is brought on by coughing, or motion. Was recently checked for a inguinal and told it is fine and that it may be femoral, incisional or groin strain. Any ideas? Never have had any visible sign or bulging ar any irregularities in the testicals before or after surgery.

Maybe it's related to a nerve injury, or condition you might check out.
