my wrist is aching and has been for a week

the aching in my wrist is quite bad it aches all day and night and hurts when i try to use  it to do stuff like get the bottle cap of a bottle and its really hurting now while i am typing this i would stop but i don't want to trouble my doctor and this is a lot easier my wrist isn't swollen and my hole hand feels really week but my fingers are fully functional but it does hurt my wrist a bit to move them around but i am in quite a bit of pain and would appreciate an answer
