My son is going to have an orchiopexy, after a year of pain. What are the long term after effects?

The testicle goes up into the abdomen because of an athletic injury - it is not congental. My son is 29 years old, so this is not the usual operation in a child.

Thanks.  But I am concerned about long term effects on mobility - ability to run, work out, etc. post-op. My son't urologist warned about possible limitations on mobility, so I am concerned about that in the long term. The excellent article you refer to does not address that.
