Penis inflammation is a sign of infection, injury, irritation or other condition.

The infection can be caused by a STD, trush, or poor hygiene.

Injury can be caused by masturbation without lubricant or penile fracture and trauma.

Irritation inflammation:
-- tight clothing that rubs against the penis
-- new, unwashed fabrics
-- chemicals in laundry detergent
-- the latex in condoms
-- chemicals in spermicides for birth control
-- Vaginal dryness during sexual intercourse
