Living Healthy Is For P*ssies

Posted Nov 03 2008 12:13pm

I really nice guy that goes by the name of “ Dean ” recently left a comment on an old post I wrote about energy drinks over a year ago. He raised a great point about how we only have one life, so we should just live it and pretty much do whatever we please. Check out his comment (SIC):

“if your on here saying energy drinks are bad for your health well might as well just stop because what isnt. i hate you f*cking pussy try to live healthy lives you only get the one so live it.i drink them all day every day and nothing else nothing happened yet. so stop being that loser who protest against everything.”

Obviously it has effected your grasp of simple grammar, Dean.

First off, you don’t need to be a rocket surgeon to know that we only have one life. To just “Live it” by not being a “pussy” and eating, drinking, smoking, injecting, and screwing anything and everything we want to is just foolish and irresponsible.

I want to live healthy because it makes me feel good. I live with little or absolutely no pain. I don’t have to be on a kidney dialysis machine and I can use the toilet instead of a colostomy bag. I can walk on my own and move freely without getting short of breath and I’m relatively strong so everyday activities and hard work come fairly easy. It’s doesn’t burn when I urinate and there aren’t any hideous growths on my…regions.  My heart is strong and I know I could run at least 4 miles if I needed to. Hopefully I will live long enough to see grandchildren or great grandchildren and I will be there for my children now. I have family that cares for me and I care about them. I’d like to keep it that way.

Sure you may not have any problems now at a young age but think about the future. Unhealthy lifestyles will catch up to you sooner or later. If living healthy makes me a “pussy”, then I guess I’m a “pussy”. Any other “Pussies” out there?
