Even at my best physical condition I have never had a tight, ripped 6 pack. I’ve had strong abs all my life and have never had a problem doing sit-ups or crunches. I’ve eaten right and exercised but have never achieved that totally ripped look. These days I’m doing my best to work out harder than I did in 2008 and work off some excess belly fat, but it’s taking time. Everyone thinks that sit-ups and crunches are the key, but in order to see the abdominal muscles, you have to “Burn” away the fat that covers it. Sit-up and crunches don’t do that.
Gerry from Disease Proof mentioned that Howard Stern was talking about how he works out but can’t seem to get a washboard stomach. He mentioned that he needs to stop snacking but he thinks that a lot of guys that have that tight stomach don’t run, but work out a lot. I’ve heard this many times and I, like many others want it to be true. I hate running. In this link, Gerry talks about the radio show and gets some advice from Dr. Fuhrman on what a person can do to help them achieve that six pack.
