Jenny DryErase “HPOA” Hoax: Man, the Internet Moves Quickly These Days

Well, disregard our previous post on America’s new favorite chalkboard vixen.  The whole thing was a hoax, as quickly suspected by many.  She’s an actress named Elyse Porterfield .

Unsurprisingly (in hindsight), the parties behind the prank were owners of the theChive.com, which had the “exclusive” on both the story and the photos.  We here at JAGT strongly believe that theChive.com isn’t a site devoted to green onion stalks, but that’s something we’ll confirm when we feel like getting around to it.

Oh yeah, and that cryptic “techcrunch.com” site listed on one of her whiteboards?  They have the skinny on the hoax for one reason or another.  Again, we kind of stopped listening after “hoax”.

It was fun while it lasted, and kudos to the pranksters for a good idea and great execution.  Now let’s all stop paying attention to them and get back to Mel Gibson phone messages or something.
