Is RBC, Urine 2-4 to be concerned?

Posted by kswicc

I just went for a annual routine physcial exam 2 wks ago and everything seems to be OK except one item is show as abnormal

under Urine test:

RBC, Urine    2-4 HI  per HPF

cast, hyaline, urine         5-8 * per LPF

I do not feel anything uncomfortabale as far as passing out urine - smooth flowing and absolutely no pain and no red color visible at all. Urine color looks normal.

My question is that if this is a big concern. I do not want to overreact with this result before I look for an urologist.

Please help to answer this question. Thanks

Thanks. I don't worry that much .

When you mention I may need medicine or may not.  Does it mean the result is not that bad and which doctor (my GP or the urologist)?
