if my bf got checked and he had a low sperm count when he was 15 would he still have it now at 21?

he was having pains in his gentital area the balls when he was 15 i think he got ball tagged and he got checked and he says he cant have kids is that true? he is 21 now and i am wanting to get pregant how can i get pregnant if he might have low sperm count or what not?
