I have the feeling of touching somthing very hot in two of my fingers estending to the second joint.

I noticed the other day when i picked up some clothing on the floor that the clothing felt very hot. It was not the clothing but my left index and Middle fingers from the tip to the second Joint. I have continued to have this several times a day since. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis but I have never had this feeling before. Any Ideas?
