I have Itchy skin (dermititis, bowl syndromes, sleeping disorders...)

Posted by dan d.

As a young child, I developed skin and bowl symtompts. For whatever reasons, they went away from 14 to 19, only to return.  Since then, I have been perscriped stronger and stronger cortico steroides to control the symptoms.  The itchh is unbarable, burning, itching with loose stoools, bowl irritataton.  I had the coloscopy, celiac biobsy of the duodenum...no defiinitve diagnosis...(come back in 5 yrs,  evidence if inflamitory bowl disease). I have followed a gluten free diet (as advised)...it has helped with my GI. My Skin has continued with problems with over 80% of my body. However, the steroids have taken their tole on my skin (atrophy) in certain places and no longer can steroids be used there.  Good thing that they now have immuno-supressants (pime-cromolus) that work. (They are not as affective as sterioids)  I feel that I am losing the battle, as it is getting worse and worse someome help me please!!!

Is the last resort Prednsone and other Immuno-supreassants?
