This is a symptom of Testicular cancer which are usually firm, non-tender masses, lumps or bumps.
If the lump is not hard and craggy, then it is probably a normal structure. It is easy to confuse parts of the anatomy of the testicle, and the epididymis and associated veins are easily confused with lumps. Young men come all the time having ‘discovered’ these and only need reassurance.
Other possible causes would be a cyst, hydrocele or varicocele. These type of lesions are more fluid.
Go see your doctor right away to have the lump examined. There are many possibilities most of which are fine or benign. The good news about testicular cancer is that it is very rare and highly curable when detected early.
