I was recently using the restroom and I reached down to feel my rectum and I noticed a soft, painless lump, right on the outside of my rectum. I becomes prominent only when I bear down. What could it be and what is the harm that it could cause me if left untreated. I am an 18 yr old male and I don't want to go to the doctor b/c my health insurance is with my parents and I will need to tell them that I have an appointment and they will want to know why and I am embarrised to tell them.
