i have a bump on the left side of my tibia near my left knee....what is this?

a bump by the knee but on the left side of my left tibia. It hurts when i press on it and also after i run and play basketball.

I have the same thing, but without pain. Go to your doctor and tell me what he tells to you because mine told me to go back if there is pain. I  do not want to scare you but go as soon as you can.

my doctor just said it was a bone chip. not a big deal just painful and he gave me voltaren cream to put on it.
