Several thoughts come to mind. Perhaps you have bronchitis, pneumonia or influenza. Any cough or fever/sweats/chills? Perhaps you're having an allergic reaction to something? Have you been somewhere new or (been exposed to something) out of the ordinary for you? Perhaps your cigarette smoking is finally catching up to you. I know you didn't mention this but it's something we always have to ask about. Perhaps your asthma is acting up. You're pretty young for a heart attack or heart failure but I suppose pericarditis could present this way, although more commonly w/chest pain. Best for you to go see your family physician. Good luck!
