husband has stage 4 lung cancer.he is complaining of shoulder to upper arm pain no swelling no redness but horrible gnawing pain

if he tries to use his arm it practically brings him to his knees it doesn't hurt while sleeping or sitting ,but as soon as he gets up here comes the pain.
