Symptoms are of Yeast and fungal infection, STD, eczema or other condition.

Warm and moist areas are ideal conditions for the growth of yeast and men who are uncircumcised are more likely to get infected because the foreskin of their penis is often moist. Tight and synthetic clothing make the wearer perspire giving the yeast organisms just the conditions they favor. Loose cotton underpants are the best thing to wear to give adequate ventilation.

A common way a man can get a yeast infection is from his partner during intercourse. Vaginal yeast infections are very common in women and the infection gets passed back and forth. If one partner has a yeast infection it is important that both get treated

Lab testing is also important. Seeing your doctor will be helpful for more guidance and in determining what is going on.

Calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream may be used with your health professional's approval.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I started using Clotrimazole and already wear boxers.  It just appeared this morning.   Doesn't seem to be getting any worse.  Wouldn't a STD have other symptons as well?
