Any condition causing your skin to be dry can lead to chafing and irritation. If a moisturizing lotion does not fix the problem, you should have it evaluated by your physician.
Sometimes dryness around a hair follicle is usually from irritation. It is seen often in people with dry skin and is called keratosis pilaris. The skin feels rough. Using a moisturizing lotion such as Ammonium Lactate 12% may help.
The dryness also may be caused by alkalies, such as those found in soaps and washing powders.
After sex and masturbation, clean your penis skin gently with a mild, non-drying soap (such as Dove, Neutrogena, or Basics) or no soap, water only.
Use a moisturizing lotion after your bath or shower.

i recently found a dry patch of skin on my penis, i was recently tested for hiv aids and syhphillis, all negative results. I have been sleeping with my girlfrends for over 5 months now and she also tested negative for hiv aids and sphyllis. i find this patch really hurting during sex or during an erection. The patch has been there for maybe 2 days now
