Does a flu shot cause the white blood cell count to go up?

Posted by Ashley

A little after my unlce received a flu shot, he had a physical done.  The doctor told him that his white blood cells count was high.  Could this be an effect of the shot?

If the immune system is very low and other conditions are involved,  the Flu shot maybe can cause a change in the white blood cell count. It is a very very low chance of that happening.
