Chest 'pain'

Posted by Keith

18 months ago I experienced chest 'pains'. After the usual tests my heart is fine. After a period off work put down to stress I have been back nearly 12 months. The problem is that I keep getting 'twinges' in my chest, sometimes when I feel stressed but also when I am not particularly under any pressure. My 'twinges' are always confined to the upper left part of the front of my chest just below my collar bone in the muscle area. I do not have panic attacks of any form, my heart rate nor breathing being affected. The area feels tender when I press. These 'pains' give the feeling of tightening then releasing. I don't like to mention these sensations to my partner or doctor any more as I have been given the all clear from any cardiac problem. However I am keen to know what is causing this 'sensation' in my chest. Anyone able to offer any advice or help? Thanks.
