Can an enlarged prostate cause make you feel like you need to have a bowel movement?

Posted by grammysboy

Over the past year, my prostate has enlarged pretty significantly. (.08 PSA in 2008 to 3.9 in 2009).  I've had the biopsy that showed nothing serious.  A few months before the PSA was taken, I noticed an urge to have a bowel movement in the evenings, not my usual time, and nothing happened.  Can this be a symptom of an enlarged prostate?
