After being a Windows "disciple" for several years now, a couple of critical (and unsolvable) errors drove me up the wall for almost two weeks – and I just gave up.
Ironically, it was on a Microsoft forum, where I was looking for a solution, that I found one – very different from what I expected.
Ubuntu , they call it. A popular Linux distro much like LiveMint, and which is offered to customers at no cost.
What's the catch, you might ask?
There's none, as Linus Torvalds, its inventor, will tell you and which Richard Stallman agrees to as well. It's open source and is touted to be far better than all the Windows products combined.
Reading these reviews led me to try it first and it was like a breath of fresh air – like nothing I had seen before. Like a transforming religious experience.
With the way the operating system is geared to provide people greater functionality when it comes to the internet, nothing can be better than this distro of Linux , and the deciding factor as to why I switched.
Yet what blew me away was the fact that I was able to install the entire operating system from USB stick – rather effortlessly, if you will. An operating system built for the 21st century… actually, built for the web!
So, what does this have to with meat?
It's as effortless as ordering meat online as opposed to having to visit the supermarket every time for your groceries and the like…
