A conference in Hawaii focuses on Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia

Posted Jul 28 2010 1:02am

Alzheimer’s Disease is a brutal and devastating disease. As the disease begins, a patient may get lost (in the car) on the way to a familiar location, such as the local drug store. As the disease progresses, the patient will start forgetting the names of close relatives. It’s not just a disease of the elderly.  Sometimes Alzheimer’s strikes younger men and women.

If you’re a baby boomer, you may have a parent or grandparent who suffers from this disease.

For the latest on this disease, visit the website for the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease 2010. Click on “Press Room,” and you’ll be connected to a wide assortment of press releases and newspaper articles on Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
