There are already many good posts in this community that discuss how to meditate and different meditation techniques. I would look through those discussions first and then ask us more specifically what you might need help with if that does not get you started. Please keep us posted on your progress.
Like Stephanie said, there are a lot of great posts in this community about various meditation techniques. If you're a beginner, I would suggest brief guided meditations, which are really very simple. Beliefnet.com has some great audio/video meditations that you can meditate along to:
