Massage is a healing art in right hands

Posted Jun 04 07 2:16am by Nancy B.

The 3,000 year-old practice of massage therapy has evolved into more than 250 variations including "deep tissue," Swedish, Hawaiian, pregnancy massage, stone massage, shiatsu and sports massage. "Basic massage increases your blood flow. It brings oxygen into your blood, which benefits your circulatory system," says Canyon Country spa owner Brian Whiteley in an interview in The Signal, Santa Clara, CA. "It also benefits your lymphatic and immune systems." http://www.the-signal.com/?module=displaystory&story_id=48379&format=html

A good massage is like a little piece of heaven. I think there's also great power in human touch and think that a bodyworker worth his or her salt is also essentially a healer.

I love massages.  They helped me "conquer" back pain and sciatica in combination with jacuzzi/hot tubs and relaxation.  There are so many different techniques people use, you just have to find the right person.
