I'm curious as to what the benefits of hypnotherapy are in comparison to other holistic therapies such as reiki, EFT, etc. Has anybody tried it? Did you find that the benefits were long-term?
It works. OK, I'm biased, I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist...but I am also a Reiki Master. :-) Energy healing works on the chi...the energy flow in the body. Hypnosis works on the subconscious mind, to reprogram mental processes. They can achieve the same results but I believe they take different paths to get there. Hypnosis can sometimes work faster, because it's reprogramming a mental habit. Energy healing can sometimes work deeper. That's my sense. Both both could achieve rapid and deep results so it's not an either/or. My hypnosis teacher did a past-life regression to cure me of night terrors and fear of the dark and since then I have not had a night terror and I can finally sleep with the light off. And that was one session. So hypnotherapy can definitely be very powerful.
