New Marketing Tips for your Martial Arts School

Marketing your new or even existing martial arts dojo or MMA training school can be tough. Maybe you are just starting out and what you thought was going to bring people through the door just isn't paying off or maybe you have an established school and you are having trouble bringing in new life and paying students. Certainly with the growth of the UFC and MMA in general there is a lot of competition out there these days.

 

So what do you do? Traditionally schools hire low paid instructors who make most of their money based on commissions on new sign ups. They push these new instructors you may be great martial arts experts or enthusiasts out in the street to recruit new students with little or no sales training and wonder why they aren't getting the huge results they were looking for. Other common marketing tools are local newspaper ads, signs or even often poorly designed websites.

To be really successful and dominate your competition, you have to adopt new marketing techniques and be able to stand out from the crowd. Now you could do some crazy PR stunts which can be effective, but also expensive. However the key to being profitable is getting the best ROI (return on your investment) for your marketing dollars. The following 4 new marketing channels are very low cost if done right and can be extremely effective.

1. FACEBOOK: Facebook has literally millions of members. If your martial arts or MMA school doesn't have a Facebook page - you need to get one NOW! There are a number of ways to use Facebook to gain more business. You can use it just as a tool to promote your school through your current students via postings and photos or you can use it to carry out some serious ninja style PPC campaigns, targeting new prospects that fit your exact target group.

2. TWITTER: Most of you should have heard about Twitter by now. Twitter can be used as another form of Social Media Marketing to create interest in your business and drive students in the door. There are a number of ways to utilize Twitter to market your business, and the impact Twitter can have on your business has been seriously underestimated by even some so called marketing professionals and business coaches.


3. VIDEO EMAIL: The days of using static emails and spam as an effective marketing tool are long gone. However the newest trend in email marketing - using dynamic video emails is revolutionizing email communications as we know it. The open rates and responses from this type of email are breaking all the records from previous types of email campaigns.

4. POWER OF BLOG: Many of you have been much familiar with Blogs and Bloggers these days. So why not create your own Blog even it's extremely easy to add information to it. All you have to do is to write about yours day to day activity or write post related to martial arts, fitness program or about MMA diets.

You may even feature your Blog as a Marketing tool and can have an extra income by providing martial arts product updates or Ads.
