Last week my knee felt great. It felt like it did before the surgery. My movement during karate class felt "right" for the first time in 14 months. It was cause for a celebration.
Now, my knee feels weird. When my knee is at 90 degrees and I raise it to extension, along the outside edge of my kneecap there is a popping sensation. My knee is stable, full ROM, no pain or swelling. Who knows? This may have been doing this all along and I never noticed.
Maybe I did too much last week. I think R.I.C.E. is in order.
Ive Actually been having problems in Martial Arts Class as well. For about the past 6 years If somethin gets my knee twisted in even the slightest inward Direction I have a partial "dislocation". Then comes the pain under the Knee Cap. Ive been told several things now though. One is Patella Femoral Syndrome. Another is Chondramalacia. Ok the Chondramalacia sounds about right as far as the pain and the recovery but whats the cause of the dislocations and how can I correct it? Ive had 4 knee surgeries now (Arthoscopic) and it does help but only for a short period of time. Ive done alot of reading on how to get through the pain. But like now Its been 5 weeks and I still cant squat and put any weight on the injured knee at all. Does anyone have any advise on this?
