Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts (CLMA) has a wide variety of martial arts programs serving our local community in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake since 1991. The ATA has over 1,500 schools within the United States. Getting started is a simple process, you can call our martial arts headquarters at 757-471-9002 or email us your contact information and we will call to schedule your first free lesson.  This way you can experience our programs before enrolling. Our professional staff is dedicated to the martial arts and the students and instructors. How Much Does The Martial Arts Course Cost?Your first martial arts lesson is by appointment and is absolutely free. This is a great time to get to know the CLMA instructors and staff while experiencing the ATA Martial Arts programs first hand.  Changing Lives MA has a wide variety of age specific programs and class schedules for pre-school age children ages 3-6 years old, Karate For Kids ages 6-12 years old, Martial Arts programs for Teens, Martial Arts programs and courses for Adults and a great selection of family profiles for our various programs. Changing Lives Martial Arts is also the only certifiedKrav MagaWorldwide licensed school in Hampton Roads. For this reason, the CLMA pricing profiles with the Martial Arts “Features and Benefits” are not presented via the phone or email. Pricing is based on schedule availability, program/course types, the number of family members attending the various programs, and the number of classes selected monthly. This is where the ATA separate’s themselves from other academies. There is a great bond and rapport built with our family of ATA students as we personalize their experience.   Evaluation: Consultation and Martial Arts OrientationChanging Lives Martial Arts offers a free consultation and orientation introductory Karate class for kids, a Martial Arts class for teens and adults, andKrav Maga classfor teens and adults,   for all new members. This way you can visit with us and see how our program fits you and your family’s needs. During your first meeting, one of our Program Directors will meet with you and your family to assess your training goals, explain our programs in detail, and answer any questions you may have in regards to you and your families training. CLMA schedules all new inquiries by appointment for a personal one on one consultation. If you would like to view a class without an appointment you are welcome to stop by and visit anyone of our academies at any time. ATA Martial Arts Trial ProgramsAfter visiting with the Changing Lives Martial Arts Team at the evaluation process, the next step would be to participate in a short-term trial program so you can "sample" the Martial Arts techniques, training methods, structured classes and instructors.  One of CLMA’s Martial Arts Program Directors will recommend the type and duration of your Changing Lives Martial Arts Trial Program based on your particular family schedule and needs. Most martial arts trial programs are one class to four weeks of classes in length and hold a value of $79.95 to $99.95. Your First Martial Arts Lesson is a Private LessonAt Changing Lives Martial Arts we want to ensure a smooth and comfortable transition into the group class is managed appropriately, your first lesson will be a private one-on-one lesson with one of our CLMA Certified Chief Instructors.  During your first lesson you and your family will be introduced to the etiquette, structure, and basic techniques used in class. Based on one's confidence, self-esteem, aptitude and ability, the certified Instructor may recommend further private lessons - at no additional cost. New Student Enrollment OptionsUpon completion of your ATA Martial Arts Trial Program, we will discuss with you the various course profiles and enrollment options that we offer atChanging Lives Martial Arts. Tuition rates may vary depending upon the program(s) selected and the number of family members enrolling at any one of our ATA Martial Arts Academies in Virginia Beach or Chesapeake, Virginia.   Student EvaluationDuring your first 4 weeks of training one of our Chief Instructors will schedule an evaluation with you to discuss your training, questions on techniques, and curriculum. During the evaluation, you will receive a copy of the specific goals the instructor has set for you as an individual training in our martial arts program.
