I mentioned in my 2nd anniversary in BJJ post that one of the things I've come to really enjoy over the last year is the sense of community, and how I value the online community, as well as the local BJJ scene.
Over a year ago, Nathan Teodoro of TDA Training started up a Google Group for martial arts bloggers and blog readers. This group has grown over time to the point that Nathan went out and found a new host. He has recently launched the new platform for The Convocation of Combat Arts.
I enjoy it because the guys are practical in their advice, regardless of their style. There's very little in the way of ego or pretension and all there are welcoming of diverse points of view. Nathan describes it as "a place where we could discuss amongst ourselves, and with our reader, the issues of the martial day in a civil, mature way, without gratuitous, and anonymous personal attacks or unjustified opinions."In addition to the main forums, there are groups specializing in Judo, Taekwondo, Karate, Kobudu, Aikido, Kung Fu, Boxing, BJJ, MMA and much more."
