quad cities marathon vs. des moines

I am about to run my first marathon. Do you recommend the Des Moines, Quad Cities, or Twin Cities Marathon?
I am nervous about the hills. I used to run the BIX in the quad cities and would get stuck with a side ache after the first major hill that I never got the time I had hoped to get. It happened on three different occations.
I saw all three of these courses have hills and I read that I should train at least once a week for hills, but I had hoped I would get into a flat race. Now, I realize they are all full and I have to run hills. Which course would be less discouraging to a first time marathoner?
