When It Rains, It Pours

Posted Jun 30 2012 4:44pm

This Friday, we are moving for the third time in the past year. We found a beautiful, quiet condo that is nearby. Over the past two weeks, the entire place has been painted, carpets professionally cleaned, etc. My job has been to hold down the chairs (or my recliner) since my movement is limited & I have to keep my stress level down. I would say that it has been challenging but that’s a huge understatement.

On top of my blood pressure issues, our beloved beagle decided to ‘redecorate’ the apartment bathroom. She chewed on a cabinet door, plunger, & the bathroom door. In order to complete the ‘redecorating job’ she also pulled down the shower curtain rod, & somehow crawled on the toilet & pulled down the towel bar. Since she chewed on metal & wood & got into medicine, the vet had to examine her & she was diagnosed with Beagle Mischievous-itis.

In order to complete the trifecta, we had a leak in the bathroom of the new condo that came from the unit upstairs. It will be fixed in due time but it was just one more thing to add to the current craziness.

So when it rains, it does pour. I would like to put away the umbrella very soon though.
