I have had Lyme 3 times. The first was very serious 10 years ago. Then 9 years ago and lastly in 2005. About 2 years ago I started a full body 30-day detox program and within 7 days had a stiff neck, confusion and numbness in my lip, tonque and left thigh. All symptoms from the first time. I stopped the program because an acupuncturist pointed out to me that some of the herbs were very powerful blood and liver cleansers which may "unleash" the spirichetes. I saw a Physical Therapist for two visits and got plenty of massage before healing fully. I have had stressful times that cause symptoms to reoccur but not to this degree.
Yesterday, I purchased an herbal treatment for ear and sinus relief. Immediately last night and today I again have a very stiff neck and some numbness at the tip of my tongue. None of the ingredients match the detox program from before. I am going to search now for the each herbs nutrtional healing quality to see if there is many liver or blood cleansers in this remedy.
