Ok, so it's over 2 months old so not exactly "Breaking News", however, I just discovered it. So could this help the "hibernating" or cyst form of Lyme Disease? Okay so I think it only works with a specific class of antibiotics. But if the sugar brings it out of "hibernation", then wouldn't it work with any antibiotic? Just a thought. I'm off to eat some s'mores. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/80beats/2011/05/12/sugar-helps-antibiotics-kill-dug-in-bacteria/ http://io9.com/5801111/adding-a-little-sugar-boosts-the-power-of-antibiotics-against-superbugs http://healthland.time.com/2011/05/16/could-a-spoonful-of-sugar-help-the-medicine-work/ http://www.healthzone.ca/health/newsfeatures/article/990263--sugar-makes-antibiotics-more-effective-study-finds |
