It is Sept. 11th and I wanted to acknowledge that here. It is the 7th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country. For myself, I vividly remember the day even though I did not know anyone who was injured or died so tragically. I live in the midwest so I was not affected in anyway that was personal, but like all of you, it changed my view of our world. I can't imagine how it was for those who were there or were personally devastated by this day's events. My prayers are with you today. The following April my husband, a pastor, and our oldest son, a police officer, went to New York to participate in a weekend event of gathering together to worship and show our denomination's support of the congregations affected by this event. My husband also went to preach in the one of the churches and minister to the people if necessary. It was an experience that neither of them will ever forget. The 5 days they spent in New York were memorable in more ways than can be listed. This day we remember those who were affected by 9-11 and those who died on that day. We lift them in prayer.
