Thankful Thursday

Posted Feb 18 2009 12:08pm

One of the few things that I am most thankful of for this week is PATIENCE. God has been supplying me all the PATIENCE in the world to tackle a seemingly stubborn yet adorable two year old who refused to wear her panty and wants to retreat to wearing her diapers. Not only that, that two year old has now discover the beauty of the word ‘NO’ that it was the only answer you can get for her. haha. Indeed being a mom is no walk in the park but I am amazed that God kept on showering me the needed wisdom to take care of the gift HE has entrusted me and the energy to make sure she wear her panties. lol.

But anyway, there are a lot of things to be thankful aside from that and here are mine for this Thankful Thursday :

  • despite the fact that my husband is away due to work, our Valentines day turned out to be a memorable one. God gave us the opportunity to talk over Skype and when the husband was on the verge of crying, our little girl started singing De Colores. She was hilarous. It was the first time we heard her sing that Spanish song and instead of crying we end up laughing.
  • my husband was re elected again for a position in their organization in Kuwait. This only means that a lot of people trusted him.
  • God has sent some additional blessings my way and what made the blessing even more meaningful was that I was able to share it with some friends
  • I am thankful that I found some idle time which I choose to used to finished my daughter’s 1st year photobook and upload 500+ pictures in which will be printed for free. All I needed to pay is the shipping fee! Such a huge savings.
  • And God showing me signs that he really is the PROVIDER all we need to do is TRUST him.

Next week I will be going on my monthly check up. Though I am feeling better it would be the first time I would be seeing my doctor again after a month. My last check up was not a good one because I was told that I have again fluid in my lungs. My doctor prescribed high dose prednisone on me and so far so good. But LUPUS as a disease is unpredictable. I might be looking good on the outside but I do not know what is going on inside. Actually I am scared to go for a check up thinking there would somethin wrong. But with your prayers I know everything will turn out right. So please pray for me. I would be forever thankful for that.

More thankful people here!
