Thank You Joanne......

Posted Sep 28 2011 12:00am
Joanne made a comment on my last posting that I want to share with you.  It was very inspiring for me.

"I don't think you realize how much of an impact you have on people. You have been given the gift of insight and something more - teaching. Don't give up the blogging website. AGAIN, thank you for sharing."

That comment got me thinking more and more about something I have wanted to do for a long time.  In my other blog, Journey of a Lifetime , I did a post about my dream of having a Healing Center ( click here to read ).    While I have had this dream for along time, I have not been able to visualize what it would be like.  How it would start, what it would be about and most importantly would it be for profit or non-profit?  More importantly, what would I be doing to support it and how would I get the world to know about?

This morning in meditation I had a vision, actually I remember more of a feeling of what it was and what my part was in it.  Perhaps its just the beginning, but that was enough to get me inspired to move forward.  One thing that I have been given through all of my own personal lupus ordeal was the gift of sight.  The ability to see inside the human body, connect to your Higher Self (who else knows you better?), and see the mind/body/spirit connection for each individual.  We may all be human, but how we develop disease and what we each need to heal from it may be very different.  I have always wanted to use that gift for a much higher purpose than what I am doing now.  Then it hit me..... I could!

That is how the center starts.  However, it is a non profit foundation that allows for donations, public and private as well as the donation of services (i.e. Medical Medium Readings), to be provided for those who cannot afford it.  I remember how broke I was when I found my answer.  I maxed out my credit card at Whole Foods on food.  The scariest moment financially, but the best decision I have ever made for my well being.   I know what its like to be broke and on your last thread of hope cripple in inflammation, and if I can help someone like me... well that's more than enough to be grateful for.

Anyway, I want a foundation that supports what each individual needs alternatively, hopefully with a integrative medicine doctor, Homepath/Naturopath, emotional release therapy, aromatherapist, massage therapy techniques, healthy food educators, and so on....  One place where someone can get everything they need; classes for the general public so they can learn to not develop disease; and eventually a resort type place where those who need real hope can come and stay and get the help they need.  Maybe I have big dreams, but I believe that over time I can achieve them....

So where do I start?   First I need a name, then I need to incorporate, then I start with my own gifts and hope that others follow .....  I open my new office on November 1st  and hope to have everything in place by then to start my work.  Of course my private practice will support me so that I can help others and for that I am very grateful.

I see a radio show dedicated to the Foundation and I see this blog morph into a website for the Foundation, all while keeping the information here in tact.  So thank you Joanne for your bit of wisdom, as well as everyone else who has written me about how this site has helped them.  Without you in my life, I wouldn't be able to dream so big!

So what do you think?  If you had a place to go to get help, what do you think you would need?  What kind f help would benefit you?  And for those like me who have found their answers, what would have made the path easier?  By answering these questions you give me a better insight into the direction I am heading....
