Services for Spanish Speakers From the Lupus Foundation of America

Lupus is two to three times more common among Hispanics and Latinos than among Caucasians, which makes it crucial to raise awareness about the disease in this group. A paper by Dr. Graciela Alarcon, member of the Lupus Foundation of America’s Medical-Scientific Advisory Council, recently looked at the short- and long-term impact of the disease in the U.S. Latino population in order to raise physician awareness .
