I am reading through the articles about Reputation Advocate and it reminds me of one incident. During the onslaught of the most devastating typhoon I have encountered in my life, a lot of Filipino people (especially the ones who are heavy Facebook users) are raging against a certain Filipina who is based in Dubai and posted a comment in her Facebook wall about how the Filipinos deserved the storm and how lucky she is that she isn’t here on her native country. A lot of angry people commented not only on her Facebook account but also on her multiply account. What seems to be a posting of her random thoughts have somehow turned into a scandal that needs that help of people from Reputation Advocate.
You see because of the anger that was generated by her rude post many people have been writing a lot against her. And then eventually her brother speaks up. Trying to salvage the reputation of her sister. He wanted to act as an Reputation Advocate. According to the brother, someone is trying to hack her sister’s account, and also stalking her by creating false accounts on different social networking website under her name. And then the said account would malign, ridicule and put her sister in big trouble. The question is, is that the truth? Or it’s just a statement that was made to clear the name of her sister. After the explanation, the Facebook account was deleted.
Instead of shedding light, the brother’s explanation created more doubts on the minds of many. How could her account be hacked. And if it really wasn’t her why was her account deleted after many angry people reacted. Seems like being a Reputation Advocate is not for his brother. That’s why the next thing the girl did was to grant an interview to local news program here in the Philipppines. Did it help ? I don’t think so. The country is still angry to her. So now if you try to search her name on the net you would come up with nasty write ups against her. This time I think she really needs the help of Reputation Advocate.
The damage has been done. The words were already spoken. Rude comments were already lashed out. The lady already has a reputation that was ruined and hopefully if ever she wanted to clear up her name she would seek the help of the guys in Reputation Advocate. Especially since according to her she is at the peak of her career and have just been a victim of hackers. If ever she would apply for a job and her future employer searched the internet for her it would be about the incident that they would be able to read.
