My name is Vicki. I have an autoimmune disease called Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. I have lupus and scleraderma symptoms. I was hopitalized in 2004 and while in the hospital a kidney biopsy was performed. They reported that I had a Lupus kidney. I had a large amount of protein in my urine. I have been on Cellcept for this condition since then and my protein levels are almost where they should be. But my question is about Bright's disease. I just found out that my Great Grandmother died of this disease. Is Bright's disease a autoimmune disease of some kind? I just wondered. Please let me know. Thanks.
