Hi Jim,
Like you I have SLE, Sjogren's, Fibro and a history of ON/AVN of the knees. I have had trouble with my skin, but not as severe as yours. I use CETAPHIL cream all the time and when my hands were REALLY bad (many years ago) I coated them with prescription cream and slept with my hands wrapped up in plastic bags (like little mini-hot houses). The choking comes and goes. In my case, it doesn't happen as much with food as without it, for no apparent reason. Really scares my husband but goes away, especially if I have some water to sip. Living in New England is a challenge. Wish I was on a tropical island somewhere!! LOL!

I WAS DIAGNOSED 11 YEARS AGO WITH SLE, SJOGRENS AND FIBROMYALGIA. I HAVE HAD BOTH HIPS REPLACED DUE TO AVN PROBABLY RELATED TO STEROID USE. I AM HAVING SEVERE RAYNAUD SYMPTOMS, GERD, DIFFICULTY SWALLOWING MY FOOD AND HAVE HAD MANY CHOKING EPISODES. MY HANDS ARE TIGHT SHINY WITH CUTICLE CHANGES. T I HAVE HAD SKIN PEELING AT THE ENDS OF FINGERS AND ULCER AT THE PIP JTS OF BOTH HANDS. I BELIEVE I HAVE SCLERODERMA ON TOP OF SLE, SJOGRENS AND FIBROMYALGIA. ANYONE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. DISCUSSION WOULD BE WELCOMED.
THANKS
JIM
