When doctors prescribed steriods or prednisone the instant reaction of patients would be negative. It’s like drawing a kershaw chive knife into your heart. Because we have heard all those side effects of steriods. Unfortunately for me no matter how I wanted it off my system I can’t. Prednisone is the medicine that can control my LUPUS and I have been using it since 2002. My doctor have been trying to look for possible alternative but we kept on coming back to it. So, we don’t have a choice but to just monitor the side effects and check for it now and then. In my last check up, I asked my rheumatologist if he can refer me to an ophtalmologist. I have been experiencing blurry visions every since he put me on Medrol. And my instinct is right. After a series of test, the optha noticed the cataract on my right eye. It’s starting already. And then my vision is not perfect anymore. I even have to changed eye glasses. I am surprised with all the test that were given to me and it isn’t finish yet. I still have two more eye test and was prescribed an ointment for eye pressure. Everything is getting complicated but I am still thankful that I have a very perceptive doctor.
